Resources for Studying English

Today I'd like to share with you my favourite resource for studying English. It is called TED Ed . There are two ways to work with this site. The first one is logging in as a student, the second one is logging in as an educator. The second option is for those who want to share their ideas, lessons, materials, etc. I don't really use this option, I prefer logging in as a student.  The site provides students with various educational videos on different topics.  All the videos are in English, so while you learn something new about a specific topic you also practice your listening skills. Besides, you can enrich your vocabulary. After watching a video users can answer questions provided by the creator, thus they can check whether they've understood the information correctly. If you are very interested in the topic you can start a disscussion. This way you can also practice your writing skills and communicate with other students all around the world. I would definitely recom

There are a lot of things that may irritate people or even become somewhat like a torture. As for me, the things that annoy and scare me the most are different insects. I really hate them. I hate insects that crawl, insects that fly, insects that bite. Even butterflies make me feel uneasy. Why do I dislike them so much? Well, first of all, some of them can infect you. This one is pretty obvious. Second of all, in my opinion they all look rather disgusting. These small legs and antennae seem creepy to me. Thirdly, midges can fly inside of your nose or mouth. I doubt that anyone can call it a nice experience. In conclusion, I'd rather always stay away from any insects.

a) I have chosen this picture of a corgi, because I am a dog person. I do believe that dogs are men's best friends. Corgis are my favourite breed of dog. I think that they are the cutest. Unfortunately, I don't have a corgi yet. Nevertheless, I want to buy one in the future when I will have my own apartment and money so I can give this dog the treatment it deserves. Owning a dog or any other animal, for that matter, is a great responsibility.  b)  The clip I'd like to share with you is Accent Expert Breaks Down 6 Fictional Languages From Film & TV by WIRED . I have chosen this video, because it's one of my favourites. I enjoy it so much, because it involves several topics that are interesting to me. Firstly, it is about languages, their structure and phonetics. Erik Singer explains how fictional langauges are created, their similarities and diffrences with natural languages. Secondly, the video includes fantasy and sci-fi fiction and their adaptations.
