Flaming Red
Ding. The lift doors open. Cheryl steps into the cabin and gives a smile to a very handsome man. He smiles back. Although it's their first meeting, Cheryl knows this man all too well. It's James Adams, the CEO of N Corporation, one of the most rich people in the city. He is her new victim. She believes the rich should share their money with the poor. She thinks of herself as a modern Robin Hood.
'Good evening, Mr. Adams,' says Cheryl flirtatiously.
'Have we met before?' he muses out loud.
'Not exactly. Today was the first day of my internship.'
'And how was it?' asks Mr.Adams.
'It was a bit challenging, but I feel like I'm in the right place.'
He hums in agreement.
'Good for you,' he says and slightly touches her flaming red hair. 'I hope we will see each other more often.'
The view of a penthouse is breathtaking. Cheryl sips on her wine. Mr. Adams sits in front of her. They sit in silence. Instead, their eyes speak for them.
Breakfast is as silent as the dinner. But it feels like their eye contact is more intense now. They arrive to work in different taxis. Only crumpled sheets of his bed remember their night together.
They don't meet very often in office during working hours, but he always waits for her in the parking lot and then drives them to their favourite restaurant. Their evenings always end up in his apartment. Cheryl feels like her plan is working - James is as naive as she's thought. He buys her anything she wants, even the most expensive things. Cheryl knows men like him, he is not her first victim. She has stolen from many rich but stupid men. But one can never have enough money, right?
She is in his apartment all by herself. He had to leave her alone because of some emergency meeting with investors. After three months of their affair, Cheryl thinks it's about time to finally implement her plan, and then move to some warm country and never come back to this life.
So, she goes to his office and opens the door without any troubles. She learned the password during the second week of their late nights together. There should be a safe, so she starts searching for it. Maybe it's under the desk? It probably is. Cheryl comes up to the desk, and she is about to look under it when something catches her attention. A red lighter with a dragon on it. The same lighter she has lost about six months ago. It has to be hers, it was a gift from her friend, he made it himself. How on earth it has ended up on Mr.Adams' desk? Something tells Cheryl she should search his desk more. She finds photos of herself. Weird photos, ones she couldn't have send him. When where these photos even taken? They look more like paparazzi pictures.
Suddenly, she realises. He has been stalking her! This naive man has been stalking her for what seems six months! How could she be so blind? Why hasn't she noticed any of this? Cheryl feels uneasy. She feels in her gut that she has to leave this apartment and never come back again.
And then she hears it. Gunshot.

The plot twist is unpredictable, I didn't expect it to turn out this way! The language is quite easy to read, I definitely love it. Can't wait for ending parts, I'm all into the story.
ОтветитьУдалитьAnna & Julia,
ОтветитьУдалитьthanks for sharing the story you have created. It turned rather unpredictable indeed. Did you like creating your story with the help of story plot generator? What do you think have you learned from this experience? Anything you can use in the future in this or some other courses you have been taking?
What do you think using the Present Simple adds to the perception of the story? Do you think it'd be different were the story written in the Past Tenses?
