The topic of voice and text messages is widely discussed nowadays. There are people who support voice messages over text ones. And then there are other people who think that voice messaging is impolite or even rude. Obviously, both text and voice messages have differences, they have their own advantages and disadvantages. First of all, voice messages seem more convenient to send. You don't have to spend time typing, you just have to press one or two buttons. Besides, sending voice messages may save someone's life. A lot of drivers, even though it's against the law, type messages while driving. Now that they can send voice messages, they don't need to look at the screen, so it makes the situation on the roads safer. On the contrary, voice massages may not be as convenient to the receiver. The book that I read for our reading class is called ‘Sorry Not Sorry’. It was written by a modern contemporary writer Sophie Ranald. When I was searching for the book to read, my only criteria was that the book should have a light-hearted feeling to it. I didn’t want to read anything depressing. I’ve chosen this particular book, because the synopsis sounded good. The book cover information promised ‘the perfect laugh-out-loud romantic comedy’. And, frankly, I think the novel stands up to this description. The book tells us the story of a young woman called Charlotte. Her housemates and friends Maddy and Henry are moving out, because they want to get married and start a family of their own. Charlotte hasn’t been in a serious relationship for a long time. Now that her friends have moved out, she feels like her life’s stuck in a rut. Youtube is a platform with lots of different videos. I think that this site is great for different creators, artists, musicians and other people to share not only their thoughts and opinions but also their creative works. So, I'd like to share one of my favourite music videos on Youtube. It is a music video for Jackson Wang's song called 'Dway' ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-0y5nUtT80 ). Jackson Wang is one of my favourite musicians. What I particulary like about this music video is the visuals. They combine modern and traditional Chinese cultures in the most stylish way. The video is dynamic and has a lot of different locations. It's also very colourful, which makes it eye-catching. Besides, I enjoy the song itself. One of the good changes in our society during these past few years has been a beginning of an open conversation about sexual harassment. Women all around the world are now encouraged to step forward and speak about their experiences of sexual harassment whether it is in a workplace, public transport or any other public place. Although the situation in workplaces has become better, sexual harassment on public transport is still present. Today I'd like to share with you my favourite resource for studying English. It is called TED Ed . There are two ways to work with this site. The first one is logging in as a student, the second one is logging in as an educator. The second option is for those who want to share their ideas, lessons, materials, etc. I don't really use this option, I prefer logging in as a student.  The site provides students with various educational videos on different topics.  All the videos are in English, so while you learn something new about a specific topic you also practice your listening skills. Besides, you can enrich your vocabulary. After watching a video users can answer questions provided by the creator, thus they can check whether they've understood the information correctly. If you are very interested in the topic you can start a disscussion. This way you can also practice your writing skills and communicate with other students all around the world.
